Dr. Nalbandian is an incredibly intelligent and amazing professor. I came into the semester prepared for chemistry to be my worst class, and ended with it as my best! It was by no means easy, but was very do-able if you put enough effort in. She is extremely helpful during office hours, and helps you through problems in a way that helps you actually figure out the problem on your own. Would definitely recommend her if you'd like to take a class and come out actually knowing the subject well. Great experience overall.

Subject matter is difficult, but Professor Nalbandian embraces the topic and cares about her students' learning. She is fair and has high standards. She teaches very well and is very thorough. She works very hard to be accessible and goes above and beyond for her students. I hope she teaches on this campus for years to come. She is a fantastic asset to this institution. Dr. Nalbandian is an amazing professor who is obviously very good at what she does. By far the best professor at this university! Dr. Nalbandian genuinely cares about her students. She by no means gives handouts— she makes you work for your grade because she cares. Dr. Nalbandian is admired by the students she taught, and those who have not had her. She communicates what she expects of us in class with nothing but the desire to have us be the best students we can be. Dr. Jenifer Nalbandian is an excellent professor, who has a remarkably thorough and masterful grasp of her field; her extensive knowledge is paired with a deep, steady care for her students, which is a remarkable, often-unseen combination. Leading up to this semester, I was so terrified of this course, but this ended up being my favorite class! Dr. Nalbandian is absolutely one of the best professors I've had, and not only am I learning the material, but I'm actually enjoying going to class and learning about the subject. She also makes an effort to get to know everyone and talk to us during lab, which I really appreciate. It makes it easier to ask questions when you feel comfortable with the instructor.

Dr. Nalbandian is by far one of my favorite professors. She really takes her time to explain concepts and tries her best to make the class understandable. I am a senior and Dr. Nalbandian is by far the best professor that I have ever encountered. She is so thoughtful and cares so deeply about us. I was so surprised that she knew all of our names since there are so many of us. She is one of those rare professors that pushes you in your education but also loves you and makes you feel important. This semester was hard for me mentally, but honestly Dr. Nalbandian played a huge role in making me feel like things would get better. Lastly, her knowledge of organic chem and the way she taught the class was impeccable. It is an extremely hard subject but she did more than enough to make sure that we understood the material and had the opportunity to succeed in her class. The exams were very fair and I believe accurately reflected our knowledge of the class. Dr. Nalbandian helped me grow in every way possible this semester and I'll forever thank God for bringing her into my life.

OMG Dr. Nalbandian is so great! Not only does she respond to emails very quickly late at night, her lectures are rich in amazing material that is explained really well. This class is very difficult, but that has nothing to do with her lack of teaching. It's just a hard class. Her love for o chem poured over into me, and it made me enjoy this class so much more. She invests in her students and cares about us, which is so refreshing and amazing. Exams and quizzes are geared for us to succeed, which is amazing. She doesn't surprise us or blind side us. What you see is what you get, and the material we do in learning checks and practice problems is what you see on quizzes.

Dr. Nalbandian was a strong influence for my love of chemistry. She kept it fun and challenging. Accomplishing her problem sets felt like a workout for my brain, but I truly enjoyed the challenged. The days where I was feeling out of it or lazy, Dr. Nalbandian's speeches and "Good morning, chemists!" always made my day ten times better and motivated me. If she is teaching the chemistry I am taking next semester, I will join her class. I am very appreciative of my chemistry teacher and could not thank her enough.

I just want to take a second to hype up Dr. Nalbandian. She truly is one of the more devoted and kind professors here at this university. Anyone who has the opportunity to experience her as a teacher is honestly blessed. In the way she genuinely cares about her students, it propels them to pay attention in class and give their best effort. While she means business during class, you know you are in for an entire hour of hard learning. While this class was one of the most challenging courses I have ever taken, it pushed me to my limits but made me a better student because of it. I will forever be thankful for the ways in which this class pushed me.

It is a pleasure to be in Dr. Nalbandian's class, and I really do mean a pleasure. It makes me retrospectively wish I sought out her regular Organic Chemistry classes because I learned way more here than in my year of previous OChem classes. She is so fun, funny, and smart, and always makes sure you know the subject. She's encouraged me numerous times and never doubted me one bit even though this particular semester made me feel dumber. She's a gem, I love her personality and I love how she makes Organic Chemistry so fun. She's changed my perspective on learning entirely. After so many classes of mind‐numbing memorization and shoveling down information only to forget it at exam time, I felt like I was best able to express myself and have fun learning. Which, in my opinion, should be the norm for school. It should excite me, not scare me. This is one of those classes I'd give the rare 10/10 to. I am by no means an organic chemist, but it made me feel more excited and invested in the subject material. Thank you so much. I pray you give more students the same excitement, hope, and happiness you gave all of us. Especially since most of the class is going to med school, this was such a breath of fresh air to give us room to actually explore the subject instead of being subjected to it. Now that I'm graduating in May, it makes me think more seriously about being a professor myself after my career. I can't understate how important this class has been for me, in both an academic and personal stance. There's so much I want to tell you, but I cannot express it in words. Please never doubt yourself in your teachings. Thank you for finally giving us the space to be ourselves within a degree program of constant stress and high expectations.

Dr. Nalbandian has been such an amazing instructor. Organic chemistry is difficult; however, she was able to effectively explain the concepts and make sure we understand the material. I enjoyed her structure and organization when it comes to teaching. I appreciate the fact that she gives us lots of practice problems to help us on exams and posts recorded lectures for our reference. Outside of her teaching, Dr. Nalbandian is a caring, generous, funny, and enthusiastic person. She makes herself available for office hours and I have enjoyed talking with her and getting to know more about her as a person. As I underwent my full year of Organic Chemistry, I came to grow closer to Dr. Nalbandian and truly learn under her guidance and expertise in accurately conveying the concepts of Organic Chemistry to me and many others in such a manner truly conducive to learning. Not only was she an outstanding and brilliant instructor in the classroom, but she also was able to be down to earth with all of her students as she attempted and succeeded in connecting and relating to every student, allowing them to feel more confident that they could talk with their professor about anything, inside and outside the classroom. She was able to find the great intersection between learning and fellowship, and I find that this created a true bond and unity within our cohort. Overall, I would recommend Dr. Nalbandian as a professor in any capacity, and I am truly grateful to have completed this class sequence under her guidance.

Overall, Dr. Nalbandian has been by far one of the best, understanding, and caring professor I have had at this school. She takes the time in labs to get to know each one of her students and makes sure to keep up with them just in case they need any additional help. Not only is she helpful with Organic Chemistry material, but she always takes the time out of her busy schedule to talk to any of us if we are having any personal problems. All of the assignments that she gives us are to help us with the exam. All of the problem sets and learning checks are the same as the exam. As long as you show effort in the class, she'll help you as much as she can to help you to get to where you want to be at. She's our academic mom.

By far my favorite course taken during my time at this university. Dr. Nalbandian made this difficult course easy to navigate through her ability to reach her students in a way that made us want to show up to class to want and learn. Even though the topics we learned were hard to master, she explained them in a way where we were able to enjoy class time and genuinely understand what was on the PowerPoint slides.
